Provence Cycling Holidays

Provence Cycling Holidays
Probably the most beautiful of our French cycling tours, and probably the best food.
The most beautiful parts of Provence are the Lubéron National Park and the Alpilles, and of course we'll spend plenty of time exploring them. They're both hilly, but no hills means no views!
We'll see spectacular Roman sites in Orange and St Remy, and we'll visit an olive farm to explore the mysteries of olive oil production.
Provence also boasts some wonderful wines, including the world-famous Chateauneuf du Pape as well as the neighbouring appéllations of Gigondas, Vacqueyras and Beaumes de Venise. We've organised a series of wine tastings, where we'll be able to reflect on the beauty of the Abbey de Senanque and its spectacular lavender fields.

Trip details

Hilly, but beautiful; we start and finish in Villeneuve-les-Avignon; 8 days / 7 nights. This tour is available as a self-guided option.

Tour dates

Our guide led us expertly on each day's ride of 30 miles or so, selecting quiet roads and tasty lunch stops and, at the end of every afternoon, a comfortable hotel with a menu to do justice to the region's rich gastronomy. He carried a repair outfit, a first aid kit and a sense of humour, which coped with almost every eventuality.
